Network Acceleration Blade

The Network Acceleration Blade gives Solace's content routing system its ability to support extremely high fan-out, high throughput rates and low latency. It works in conjunction with SolOS and other installed Solace blades to provide content manipulation and messaging functionality at rates 10 to 100 times faster than traditional approaches.

Key attributes of all Solace network acceleration blades:

  • Multiple high speed ports per blade featuring user selectable port types with link aggregation.
  • Full hardware-based support for layer 1-4 protocol termination (including TCP, IP and Ethernet), layer 5-7 content processing and content routing.
  • Hardware support for content fan-out over TCP transport.
  • No operating system handoffs during content processing to completely eliminate context switching delays.
  • Detailed statistics tracking of connections, queue depths and message rates with no impact on system performance.
  • QoS/CoS at both the content and IP layers.
  • On-board support for hardware encryption/decryption, compression and other computationally intensive processing functions.
